Loganair invests in enhanced in-flight service

02 Sep 2026 Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, has enhanced its in-flight product as part of an ongoing strategic plan to strengthen its onboard complimentary service.

From 1st September, Coffee across the network is switching to Lavazza, while bottled water is changing to Highland Spring, a move that also reduces plastic use onboard. Children flying with Loganair will now be offered sweets as part of the inflight service, and Dean’s Shortbread replaces Walkers as the airline’s shortbread of choice.

It’s the latest step in a wider transformation of the airline. Two years ago, Loganair commenced an extensive re-fleet, introducing larger, quieter and more comfortable ATR-42 and ATR-72 aircraft in place of its former Saab 340s. Now fully complete, the programme has helped to significantly boost capacity and resilience. Last year the Civil Aviation Authority named the airline as the most punctual in the UK for arrivals and departures.

Luke Farajallah, Loganair CEO, said:

We’ve put the aircraft and the reliability in place, and now it’s time to invest in the experience customers actually have onboard. Lavazza coffee, Highland Spring water and Dean’s Shortbread aren’t small details, they’re proof that gold standard service and regional connectivity go hand in hand.
We also hope little ones onboard enjoy our complimentary sweets, coupled nicely with our kids' packs, which entered service late last year. We want to make flying as a family as enjoyable as possible as part of our role in connecting loved ones across the UK and beyond.
As the UK’s leading regional airline, we committed to investing in this airline because the communities we serve deserve nothing less.

The switch to the Scottish water brand, Highland Spring, also supports Loganair’s wider sustainability work. The airline estimates that the switch from individual water cuplets to poured bottled water will achieve an annual reduction of just over 6 tonnes of plastic packaging used across its flying programme. This represents an estimated 89% reduction in plastic packaging by weight.

Loganair operates more than 70 routes across Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland and Scandinavia. Customers benefit from a 21kg baggage allowance included as standard and can collect Avios through the airline’s loyalty programme.

Loganair was named the most punctual major airline for UK arrivals and departures in 2025 (January to September) by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, with 81% of its flights arriving and departing on time, significantly above the industry average of 72%.
