In times of distress, such as the death of an immediate family member, a critical medical situation, or the need for in-patient hospital treatment, you may find yourself needing to travel urgently without the benefit of advance purchase discounts. Our compassionate fares as based on a discount from our most flexible fare and may not always be the lowest fare, but it offers piece of mind that you have flexibility to make changes when you need to.

We understand that these situations require sensitivity and prompt action.

To support you during these challenging moments, Loganair offers Compassionate Fares for new ticket purchases and Compassionate Flexibility for changes to existing bookings.

We do require relevant supporting documentation to proceed with your request.

Please note that approval is at Loganair’s sole discretion, and prior approval is required for our compassionate fare. In extreme situations, with supporting documentation, a retrospective refund may be offered after a conversation with our customer service team and where approval is given.

Compassionate fares can be offered on services operated by Loganair only.

In the event of a bereavement, our Compassionate Fare policy applies to immediate family members, including spouses, partners, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, and siblings. This extends to relationships such as same-sex, adopted, great, half, step, and in-laws.  We also include members of the clergy or equivalent religious ministers who will preside over the funeral.
