When transiting through certain airports, it’s essential to check baggage transfer requirements, as you may need to collect your luggage to clear customs before re-checking it for your onward flight. Ensuring you retrieve your bag when required is your responsibility.

For your convenience, we’ve prepared a guide detailing baggage transfer policies at key mainland UK airports and Dublin. If your journey includes a connection between a British Airways and a Loganair codeshare flight, please refer to the specific BA information section below.

1) For journeys to Barra, Campbeltown and Tiree, you do not need to pick up your bag in Glasgow.

2) For departures from Barra, Campbeltown and Tiree, you must pick up your bag in Glasgow and represent at a British Airways bag drop.

3) Travelling internationally and onwards from a London airport to Glasgow, bags will only be checked as far as Glasgow. You will need to collect your bag and represent at a Loganair bag drop for onward travel.
