1.3 Booking your Assistance Dog
You can book your Assistance Dog at the time of flight booking, but we recommend doing so at least 48 hours before departure. You will need to provide the required documentation and may be asked to show it at the airport. Ensure you have a copy on hand for verification.
1.4 Emotional Support Dogs
Loganair does not accept emotional support dogs in the cabin; they must travel in the hold in a proper animal container.
1.5 Guide, Hearing & Medical Alert Dogs
If you are traveling with a guide, hearing, or medical alert dog, you must provide the required documentation:
1.6 On the Day of Travel
Arrive at the airport 90 minutes before your flight. Check-in will be completed, and you'll board ahead of other passengers. Ensure your dog wears its harness or tabard, and secure the dog’s harness to the seatbelt using the provided extension for takeoff and landing.
1.7 Our Liability
Loganair is not responsible for animals lacking the correct documentation. Please contact the airport and consult the Pet Travel Scheme helpline or Guide Dogs UK for advice. Assistance dogs, containers, and food are carried free of charge, within the standard baggage allowance. Notify us at least 14 days in advance to ensure availability for your Assistance Dog.
1.8 Refusal of Carriage
Loganair will not accept self-certified emotional support dogs or other unapproved categories. Assistance Dogs are subject to space availability, so we recommend notifying us at least 14 days before travel to ensure proper arrangements.
