The APS MCC course focuses on nine key competencies to ensure the development of both technical and non-technical skills required for a First Officer:
The course begins with three days of Ground School & Technical Training, including presentations, case studies, and sim familiarisation exercises. After a weekend off, two working weeks of simulator training follow, comprising 40 hours of in-depth training in accordance with Loganair SOPs.
The APS MCC Assessment of Competence will take place on the final Friday. Following successful completion, candidates will proceed to a simulator assessment and interview with Loganair the next day. Those who succeed will be eligible for the fast-track recruitment process, including priority placement in the hold pool, the first step toward securing a First Officer position with Loganair.
To apply for the course, candidates must have completed their multi-engine instrument rating (though the license does not need to be issued yet). Candidates must also have passed their skills test prior to the course's start. This program is specifically for UK CAA licence holders with the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
