Students Study Hero

The benefits

We understand that every penny counts for students, and planning around exams or uncertain return dates can be tricky. That’s why we offer flexible one-way and return fares exclusively for students and youths under 26.

Student fare benefits include:

  • No change fees or fare upgrades
  • A second piece of luggage at no extra cost
  • Eligibility for the ADS discount, even if you live off-island during term time.

FAQs

What are the terms and conditions?

Student fares are non-refundable and subject to availability. A valid Student ID must be presented at the airport.

Do I qualify?

Student fares are available to individuals aged 12-25 who are enrolled in a full-time/vocational/technical/nurse training course at a UK college or university, traveling between home and their place of study.

The fare is also available to 12-25-year-olds who are members of the Young Scot scheme. For more details, visit www.youngscot.org.

How to book?

To apply for the student fare, you must provide an official document from your educational establishment, a valid Young Scot card, or a Student Union Card to verify your eligibility.

These fares can only be booked via our call centre or select Travel Agents.

For direct bookings, please call the Loganair Customer Help Centre at 0344 800 2855.

What is a valid flight routing?

Student fares are valid for travel between the airport closest to the student's home and the nearest airport to their place of education only.

How do I choose between the online fare and the student fare?

Please note that lower-priced advance purchase fares are available online. We recommend comparing these fares with the Student fare before booking, as lower-priced fares may offer different travel flexibility.

How flexible is the student fare?

Please note, one amendment to your one-way or return booking can be made free of charge, subject to availability in the same Student booking class for your amended itinerary.

Are students entitled to extra baggage?

Loganair allows one hold bag for all 'Fly' fares. For Students, two bags can be carried, with a combined weight of up to 30 kg, subject to availability in the aircraft hold. Occasionally, the second bag may not be taken and will be shipped on the next available flight. Any short-shipped bags must be collected from the airport.
