Wait List Information

If your preferred Orkney Inter‑Isles flight shows as “sold out” online, you can ask to join the wait list by calling our Kirkwall office on 01856 872494.

How to join the wait list

You can choose one of the following options:

Option 1 – Book an alternative flight

Complete your booking online for another available flight, so you have a confirmed seat.
Then call our Kirkwall office and ask to be wait-listed for your preferred flight.

Option 2 – Wait list only

Call the Kirkwall office and ask to be wait-listed for your preferred flight, without making another booking.

Please note: Up to four customers can be wait-listed for each flight.

FAQs

What happens if a seat becomes available?

If a seat opens up, customers on the wait list are contacted by email, in order of wait list priority.

You will have 2 hours to accept the seat offer.

If you don’t respond within 2 hours, the seat will be offered to the next person on the wait list.

If you already have a confirmed booking...

If you are offered a wait‑listed seat and already hold a confirmed booking:

Select “Switch my flight” in the email.
You’ll be taken to Manage My Booking, where you can complete the change.
A confirmation email will be sent with your updated itinerary.

If you decide not to switch:

Select “Do not switch my flight” so the seat can be offered promptly to the next customer on the wait list.

If you only joined the wait list...

If you didn’t have an existing booking:

The email will display the wait‑listed flight.
Select “Switch my flight” to go to Manage My Booking, complete your booking, and make a payment.
You will then receive a confirmation email.

If you no longer wish to book the flight:

Select “Do not switch my flight”, and the seat will be offered to the next person on the wait list.

Check our dynamic timetable for the latest flight dates and times - enter your flight routing and travel dates. You can also download and print a copy for your records if required.
