Norfolk

When you think of a beach holiday, Norfolk probably wouldn’t be the first place to pop into your mind. However, two beach places which are very much worth a visit (especially during the summer) are Great Yarmouth and Cromer, both of which are around 30 to 40 minutes away from Norwich. Great Yarmouth is a seaside resort with a beautiful promenade which is perfect for a stroll, and for when you start feeling peckish,  you can find many typical British pubs and fish and chip shops. When visiting Cromer, you cannot miss trying out their famous crabs and walking along the stunning pier. For a more relaxing beach holiday, Great Yarmouth and Cromer are both worth a visit. You can also split your holiday between both seaside towns, they’re only an hour away from each other!

Outer Hebrides

The Outer Hebrides have some of the longest daylight hours from all over the UK, meaning you can enjoy whole days out, from early morning walks (with opportunities to see Otters!) to spectacular nights out. The beauty of the Outer Hebrides is that you can easily hop from one island to the other. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even take a boat trip to islands such as St Kilda, The Flannans and Mingulay! Or perhaps, a watersports activity, like wild swimming, surfing or kayaking. If you would rather have a relaxing holiday, you can always head to the beach for some peace and quiet. On the islands, you can enjoy some of the least untouched landscapes in Europe, with no pollution or disturbance.
