Explore Dundee & Tay Country

Combine the best of both worlds...

Perched on the majestic River Tay, Dundee has a unique spirit and character that distinguishes it from other Scottish cities. In part, this is probably due to its more compact size, which also makes it simple to explore for a short break. Due to its own airport being just 5 minutes away from the city centre, you can spend less time on transfers and more time exploring a wealth of attractions that are within walking distance. The city's location also gives it unique and unrivalled access to some of Scotland’s best outdoor spaces in spectacular Tay Country – host to world-class golf courses, distilleries, majestic castles and wide-open spaces. So if you’re looking for an easy city break where you'll be able to discover something different and also have the option of stepping out into Scotland’s best countryside without a second thought – it has to be a visit to Dundee and Tay Country!

Get Creative in Dundee

Dundee is the UK’s first and only UNESCO City of Design. The city’s rich design heritage and its thriving contemporary design sector make it the perfect city to visit for any creative traveller. In Dundee, you can find the first Scottish Design Museum and the first V&A museum to open out of London, the V&A Dundee. The museum explores Scotland’s rich design heritage and promotes the incredible Scottish creativity, as well as the best of design from all over the world. Another must-visit for the creative traveller is the internationally renowned Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre, which has two large-scale galleries, two cinema screens and workshop space. Not far away from the Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre is the McManus Galleries, which explores the history of Dundee and the surrounding areas; from an industrial hub to a centre for design and technology.
