Travel Advice : 04 May
4th May 1910
Update – Tuesday 4 May 09:30 hrs
The UK CAA and National Air Traffic Services have imposed a no-fly zone covering parts of the Western Isles as a result of further volcanic activity in Iceland and prevailing winds carrying volcanic ash into UK airspace. The no-fly zone affects services to Campbeltown, Islay, Tiree, Barra and Benbecula. For the avoidance of doubt, flights to Stornoway are unaffected and services to and from Stornoway are operating as scheduled with the exception of the Stornoway-Benbecula route.
As a result, Loganair regrets to advise that the following flights for today, Tuesday 4 May 2010, have been cancelled:
- BE6921 Glasgow to islay
- BE6922 Islay to Glasgow
- BE6843 Glasgow to Campbeltown
- BE6844 Campbeltown to Glasgow
The following flights have been delayed indefinitely and further information on the operation of these services will be given at 13:00 hrs local time:
- BE6807 Glasgow to Benbecula
- BE6808 Benbecula to Glasgow
- BE6853 Glasgow to Tiree
- BE6854 Tiree to Glasgow
