Loganair takes charity fundraising to new heights

Four brave volunteers from Loganair faced the exhilarating challenge of abseiling the iconic Forth Rail Bridge in aid of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and raised over £2,000.

Captain Eddie Watt, Neil Siddle, Rachael Speller and Ronan Milne embraced the 165ft drop from one of Scotland’s most famous landmarks and UNESCO World Heritage Site in South Queensferry on Sunday, 8 October.

As official airline partner for CHAS, Loganair has been working with the organisation since 2021, offering connectivity for CHAS staff through its unique route operations to ensure children and families living with life-shortening conditions based in remote communities can still access the care and support offered by the charity.

This is in addition to the fundraising and volunteering efforts from Loganair staff throughout the year.

Neil said:

“It was a great day despite the weather and everyone was in good spirits. CHAS is a charity close to our hearts at Loganair, and we’ll always do what we can to support their work.”
