FURTHER INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS REBOOKING FLIGHTS TO AND FROM CARLISLE LAKE DISTRICT AIRPORT
Following our statement this afternoon, we would like to provide some further information about the re-booking options available to you now that the launch of commercial flights from Carlisle Lake District Airport has been delayed until Monday 3 September 2018.
When any airline flight is cancelled, customers have certain rights under EU Regulation 261/2004. For ease of reference, you can find details of the customer rights relating to cancellation of short-haul rights on the Civil Aviation Authority website and these cover a range of topics including your right to be provided with an alternative flight or to obtain a refund if you elect not to travel. If you decide to continue your journey and fly from an alternative airport such as Glasgow or Manchester, we will cover reasonable travel expenses to that alternative airport, which you can claim from us by contacting us at email@example.com.

- Rebook onto an alternative flight for travel from 3 September. Retrieve your booking via the Manage My Booking functionality on loganair.co.uk and select alternative flights.
- A refund back to your payment card. A refund will automatically be processed if we don’t hear from you by the 18th June. Alternatively, email email@example.com, and we’ll process the refund within 5-7 working days.
- Contact Loganair on 0344 800 2855 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss alternative options for travel from either Glasgow or Manchester. Please be aware our call centre will be experiencing a higher volume of calls than usual and there may be longer waiting times as a result. Your understanding and patience is appreciated.
What do I do if I have booked a Loganair flight to/from Carlisle Lake District Airport, Belfast City, Dublin or London Southend on/after 3 September?
