Covid-19 Update: 16 June

We would like to thank our customers for their patience and support over the last few months as we have navigated through what has been one of the most challenging periods in the history of commercial aviation. During this time, we have had to continually review our schedules to maintain important lifeline services, working around ever-changing airport opening hours and government restrictions.

However, as the economy now starts to re-open, we are looking forward to playing our part in getting the UK moving again - providing all-important regional air-services. Furthermore, we have recommenced more routes and are gradually building towards a fully comprehensive schedule that our customers would usually expect from Loganair – i.e frequent flights at convenient times for business and leisure travel.

However, to do this in a way which provides much-needed certainty for our customers around their chosen flight times, we must forgo certain flexibilities which we have offered during the crisis.

Therefore, for customers booked on flights departing June and July, we now require that our offers of flexibility to hold a booking for future travel or to confirm new travel dates for August or later are taken by no later than 21 June. As the majority of summer events have been cancelled, we expect customers to have now made their decision on whether or not to travel for the months of June and July. Customers can self-administer either of these options here.

After this date, this flexibility will be closed so that Loganair can provide certainty around its June and July schedules to customers who have firm travel plans at this time. Change fees, therefore, may apply for changes made beyond the 21 June (depending on the fare type you originally booked).

For customers who are not confirming future travel dates and have had a flight cancelled for which they are awaiting a refund, please be assured these continue to be processed in chronological order and will be returned to you as soon as possible - we thank you for your ongoing patience.

Those who are considering making a new booking for a future travel date but need extra flexibility, can choose our Fly Flex fare, which allows changes to be made to tickets without incurring change fees (though fare differences may still apply)

For those customers who have already placed a booking on-hold, when new travel dates are confirmed, change fees will not apply but a fare difference may apply.

As the UK economy re-opens in stages, we will continually review the situation for August and onwards and provide further updates as events unfold.

The Loganair Team.
