Travel Advice: Kirkwall and Sumburgh Flights 8th-10th April

Loganair is heartened to learn that the planned strike action on 26 April by HIAL Air Traffic Control staff has been deferred to allow both parties to continue discussions towards a resolution of the dispute.

We had previously closed flights to and from affected airports on 26 April for sale, and no bookings on these flights have been taken since 5 March.   A significant number of customers had already taken advantage of our offer to move their flights free of charge to an alternative day.   As a result of these two actions, bookings on flights on 26 April are far below their normal levels, and so Loganair will be operating a reduced schedule on this date.    This is already reflected in our reservations system and customers who continued to hold bookings for 26 April have already been made aware of the flights which will be operating.

If a customer has booked for travel on 25 or 27 April, having been unable to make a reservation for 26th, yet now wishes to travel on that date, we will enable them to move their booking to any available flight on the same route on 26 April.   There will be no charge or difference in fare payable for any such changes.

We await further progress in resolution of the dispute.
