Flybe franchise partner, Loganair has unveiled a ‘purple’ colour scheme for its Dornier 328 aircraft based in Norwich.
Aptly named ‘The Spirit of Norwich’, the 31 seat aircraft is the first of Loganair’s fleet to be painted purple in-line with Loganair’s franchise partners branding colours.
The aircraft serves Edinburgh and Manchester up to three times per day and the Channel Island, Guernsey as a weekly summer service.
Norwich International Airport, chief executive, Andrew Bell greeted the first customers to board the plane, presenting Susan and Ian McGilp from Norwich with a voucher for a complimentary pair of return tickets to Edinburgh.
Speaking about the newly decorated Dornier 328, Loganair’s chief operating officer, Phil Preston, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to reveal our newly decorated aircraft, which will be based at Norwich International Airport.
“Norwich has become an important operating base for Loganair, with a number of successful routes to and from the airport. The plane connects with Edinburgh and Manchester, up to three times per day while linking with Guernsey weekly during the summer.
“Throughout the summer, we’ve added additional services to the Scottish Capital, with two flights on Saturdays during August to take advantage of the internationally acclaimed, Edinburgh Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world.
“The city is one of the most picturesque the UK has to offer, and with so many fine restaurants, top quality hotels and excellent entertainment venues, it’s an ideal destination for a short getaway this summer.
“Additionally, Scotland’s second biggest is only a stone’s throw away from both the Highlands and Islands.“
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs McGilp, and I hope they enjoy a trip to Edinburgh courtesy of Loganair.
Andrew Bell, chief executive Norwich Airport commented “We are delighted that Flybe’s franchise partner, Loganair launched their first purple plane from the airport today, bringing them in line with Flybe’s new branding. The aircraft will be utilised on both the Edinburgh and Manchester services which are both key business routes for many of the local businesses in the area.”
