The Machrie - Whisky Experience

Whisky Experience

Only a 45-minute flight away, the Queen of the Hebrides is one of the world’s foremost destinations for whisky lovers – boasting eight different distilleries.

With Loganair, you can fly directly to Islay from Glasgow for a Laphroaig whisky tour, which includes lunch in the newly revamped luxury Machrie hotel.

Upon arrival at Islay Airport, visitors will be driven to Laphroaig for a tour of the town’s famous distillery, getting the chance to sample its richly flavoured products or buy a bottle for later.

Guests will then be transferred to the comfort of the Machrie Hotel, where they will enjoy a delicious two-course lunch served with a dram of choice before being greeted by the venue’s whisky ambassador, who will host a tasting session and share expert knowledge of the ‘water of life’ before a transfer back to the airport and short flight home to Glasgow.

To book

The package includes a day's return from Glasgow, transport for the day, a Laphroaig distillery tour, a 2-course lunch with coffee and a dram of whisky, and a whisky taste testing experience.
