Time For Some Theatrical Fun

It's showtime!

The clocks have turned, and the weather has surely followed! Luckily for us all, theatre never goes out of fashion, so if you’re looking for some indoor entertainment this Winter, theatres are the way to go (..and with Christmas on the way, so are the pantomimes!). With over 1,100 active theatres in the UK, let’s face it, the choice is endless for theatregoers here. This is exactly why we thought we’d help you out by narrowing it down to some of our favourites.

Mayflower Theatre, Southampton

With over 2,270 seats in the auditorium, Mayflower Theatre is the biggest one on the south coast. The theatre brings together a wide variety of shows with a mixture of touring productions; opera, dance, drama, ballet, comedy and musicals, many of which are directly from the West End! And if this diverse range of spectacular shows was not enough, might we remind you that.. *dramatic pause*.. pantomimes are also back this year! And yes, the Mayflower Theatre has got you covered, as they will be showing Cinderella from the 10th of December to the 2nd of January. The play is family-friendly but might have some adult humour here and there, so it might be a good one to visit with friends instead?
