Christmas Markets 2022

Ready for some festive cheer?

Looking for a fun festive outing for the whole family to enjoy? Or how about a Christmas trip with your friends? With jolly tunes, warm drinks, traditional foods and a variety of handmade gifts, Christmas markets bring everyone together! With plenty of markets all over the UK, we know it’s tough trying to decide which to head to, so we’ve narrowed it down to a couple of markets which we think are definitely worth a visit this year.

With dozens of festively decorated wooden chalets, enough trinkets and gifts to buy for the whole village back home and buzzing bars, Belfast Christmas Market has a bit of everything! The market is open from the 19th of November to the 22nd of December and here you’ll find both local, as well as international cuisines – Sweets from Italy, Dutch pancakes, Belgian chocolates, Spanish Paella and crêpes from France! Is your mouth watering yet? Because we know ours are! Why not enjoy your food with a drink of Glühwein at the food court?

Why visit just 1 Christmas Market, when you can visit 8 of them in one city! The Christmas Markets in Manchester will run from the 10th of November until the 22nd of December. The markets are spread across the city centre and all together are made up of more than 200 stalls! The Christmas Market in Manchester was the first one in the UK and has been growing every year since. With a variety of cuisines, iconic ski chalet market stalls, gifts from various countries and a buzzing city centre, there is something for everyone. For the first time ever, there will also be a designated family site with fun rides and entertainment including magicians, street theatre and spectacular views of the Manchester Cathedral.

Newcastle Christmas Market will be held from the 2nd of December right until Christmas Eve. During the full month of festivities you can browse stalls, enjoy some locally brewed beers or buy your friends and family some unique pottery or handmade jewellery. The market will take place around Grey’s Monument, Grainger Street and this year also on Old Eldon Square! On the 5th of December, the market will also incorporate a Farmers market, where everyone can buy fresh produce from local farmers and vendors. Santa will be making a special appearance, and with local choirs also singing Christmas carols, there will most definitely be some festive cheer!
