"Operating as Flybe"

Special Needs Passengers

Some people need a little more help when travelling than others. If this is the case, then please advise the reservations agent when you make your booking, and Loganair and it's service providers will do their best to ensure that help is on hand. We can provide suitable assistance for those who are mobility impaired, and wheelchairs for elderly passengers and others who have a limited walking range. Visually impaired passengers can bring a guide dog with them on the flight.

For further details, please read on.

Policy

Loganair will accept passengers with disabilities, however due to the size of aircraft some limitations may apply. Passengers whose fitness to travel is in doubt or those who require to administer medication during the flight should be referred to the Flybe customer relations department for medical clearance. Passengers with stable disabilities do not require formal clearance.

Enquiries regarding assistance should be made to:

Boarding

Loganair will pre-board special needs passengers, and ensure that they are accommodated in the appropriate seating area relating to the aircraft type. Every effort will be made to ensure that escorts or guide dogs are next to the passengers they are escorting. Passengers will be accommodated in seats allowing the maximum space for their comfort, but for those passengers with a full leg plaster, then a charge may apply for the booked extra seat.

Wheelchairs

Due to the varying size of aircraft within the Loganair fleet, Loganair does not have onboard wheelchairs, and certain restrictions may apply in the acceptance of your own wheelchairs. Wheelchairs loaded in the Baggage hold will be loaded in such a way as to be readily available at the transfer and destination points. If possible, a collapsible wheelchair is best used when travelling. Battery (non-spill) operated wheelchairs can be accepted and will be carried as checked baggage.

Blind Passengers

A blind passenger is entitled to a 50% rebate off the full economy adult fare, as is their escort. Guide dogs are carried free of charge, and are permitted in the cabin. Blind persons and their escort are eligible for the discount when travelling for business/medical/training/education/rehabilitation reasons. An application completed by a recognised organisation for the blind must be submitted at time of ticket purchase.

When making their reservation, a blind passenger should advise the booking agent of their blindness, and customer care staff would ensure that the passenger is appropriately assisted at the airport.
