Children and Infants
Children love to fly, and Loganair is always pleased to welcome them on board. Our ground and cabin staff are trained to help young people - and those flying with them - to enjoy their flight. Loganair hopes the following information will help put your mind at ease when planning a trip with young children.
Traveling with infants
Infants, who have not reached their second birthday and are carried on their parent's lap, are carried free of charge on British Airways flights operated by Loganair. An infant aged between 6 months and under 3 years, may be carried in their own rear facing, approved car seat, though a child fare will apply for the booked seat. Loganair does not provide car seats.
Young Children
Children aged between 3 and 11 inclusive, traveling with their parents, will receive a 50% discount on the appropriate fare.
Young Children Travelling Solo
Loganair allows children to travel unaccompanied, though all arrangements should be made in advance. The child must be at least 5 years of age for a single sector flight, and 6 for a multi-stop flight. They should be escorted at the airport until the flight departs, and an escort must be arranged to be waiting at the airport of arrival. Certain flights are multi stop and the escort at the departure airport should always remain contactable until the aircraft has reached the child's destination. You will be asked to complete an unaccompanied minor form either at the time of booking, or at check-in.
Loganair's ground and cabin staff will do their utmost to ensure your family has an enjoyable flight. On arrival at the airport, our ground staff will be on hand to give you extra help if you need it, and families with small children will be invited to board first.
