LOGANAIR LAUNCHES SUMMER 2011 SCHEDULE
Loganair, Scotland’s Airline, is pleased to announce that its schedule of flights for summer 2011 will go on sale tomorrow, Friday 1 October.
Services up to and including 20 August will be bookable, with flights after that date being made available in early December.
The Flybe franchise carrier is introducing a number of enhancements to its schedule, which will offer over 500 flights each week on 23 routes.
Key developments include:
· Extra Sunday services between Glasgow and Stornoway
· The first non-stop flights between Inverness and Sumburgh which will be introduced on Sunday, together with extra seats on Sunday services linking Kirkwall and Sumburgh; and Inverness and Kirkwall;
· Re-introduction of Tuesday services between Edinburgh and Wick;
· Additional seats for key events such as the St Magnus Festival in Orkney in June; and the Tall Ships Race passage through Shetland in July.
In addition to convenient connections to Flybe services, Loganair has also renewed its code-share agreement with British Airways, thereby safeguarding the seamless connections available from ten destinations in the Highlands and Islands via Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen to London and onwards using the British Airways worldwide network.
