"Operating as Flybe"

Live Flight Arrivals

17th September 2010

Loganair, Scotland’s Airline, has relaunched its website at www.loganair.co.uk which now features live flight arrivals and departures information for all of its services.   The Flybe franchise carrier has made a significant investment to link its operational monitoring systems to the website so that real-time flight information is available for all Loganair services.

“We recognise that accurate and timely flight information is vital for our customers and their friends and relatives,” said Loganair’s Commercial Director, Jonathan Hinkles.      “We’ve been working on this development for some time and I’m pleased to announce that the new web pages are now available.   These provide up-to-the-minute information on flight arrivals and departures for Loganair services at every airport on the network.    The system also includes details for dedicated flights which Loganair operates to carry newspapers and mail throughout the Highlands and Islands, so that the communities which we serve can easily check via our website as to whether that day’s deliveries have arrived.”

The new website is introduced as Loganair celebrates coming top of the airline punctuality league table at Glasgow in August, with 93.8% of flights departing on time versus the airport average of 80.4%.   The airline works hard to maintain its position as one of the UK’s most punctual airlines, and is asking its passengers to help it ensure that flights leave on time by observing the 30-minute minimum check-in time prior to departure.     “The 30-minute deadline is designed to allow sufficient time for passengers to check-in and undergo the mandatory security checks before boarding the aircraft,” said Jonathan.   “Whilst we’re proud of our punctuality record, we can only maintain and achieve excellent statistics such as this with the help of our customers, and so we’d like to stress the need for on-time check-in at all of our airports”.
