Glasgow Airport Gate 1
14th September 2010
Flybe franchise carrier Loganair is advising passengers travelling on services to and from Glasgow that the location of its flight departures will be relocated within the airport during forthcoming construction work. From 19 September until the end of October, Loganair services will depart from Gates 4 and 5 rather than the usual Gate 1, from which its flights have departed for a number of years. The lounge at Gate 1 is being refurbished and updated as part of Glasgow Airport Ltd’s plans to modernize this area of the airport.
Please note that for passengers travelling on the service to/from Barra, there is no change and this will continue to go from Gate 17 in the central pier.
Passengers travelling from Glasgow over this period should continue to check-in as normal – no later than 30 minutes prior to flight departure – and proceed through the security checkpoint before checking the gate number for their specific flight on the airport departure screens.
“We’re pleased that Glasgow Airport is working hard to provide the facilities which our customers rightly expect,” said Loganair’s Commercial Director Jonathan Hinkles. “However, it’s important that our regular customers, many of whom will go to the original gate as a matter of second nature, are aware of this change over the next five weeks so that they can find their way to the correct boarding gate in good time to board the flight.”
