Loganair To Withdraw Services From Blackpool
9th June 1909
Loganair has today announced that it will withdraw its services linking Blackpool International with Isle of Man and Belfast City. Its final flights oneach route will take place on Sunday 12 July.
Since it announced the launch of the flights in February of this year, a number of factors have arisen which have led the airline, which operates services as a franchise carrier of Flybe, to reconsider the future of the routes.
"The economic situation has worsened in the last few months and this has led to the expected levels of demand for our new services failing to materialise despite the hugely competitive fares on offer," said a spokesman for Loganair. "We offer our sincere apologies to any customer whose travel plans will be disrupted by today’s announcement and we will offer a full refund for any tickets purchased on flights which are no longer operating."
All customers with forward reservations on the services will be contacted and advised of the changes by Flybe.
