Rarely Is Check-In As Quiet As A Mouse
9th May 2007
Loganair, the British Airways franchise partner, is delighted to announce that of today, 9th May 07, online check-in now available on their services from Wick, Kirkwall, Sumburgh, Stornoway and Benbecula.
Once a passenger has made their booking on BA.com they can go back online within 24 hours of departure, go to "Manage My Booking", follow the instructions and check-in.
It also allows you to chose your seat and print your boarding pass. This great time saving measure means that passengers without baggage can go straight to security, bypassing check-in altogether. Alternatively, if you don't have access to a printer, you can still chose your seat and check-in online but then go to check-in to collect your boarding pass.
Security checks will take place as normal at each airport. Passengers with baggage will just need to drop it off at check-in to get it tagged and then proceed to security.
The scanning equipment required by security to scan pre printed boarding passes has been rolled out over the past couple of weeks and is now ready to go with immediate effect.
Susan Blacklaw, Sales and Marketing Manager for Loganair, said, "We are delighted to be able to implement this enhancement, it brings the airports of Wick, Kirkwall, Sumburgh, Stornoway and Benbecula in line with other major airports such as Glasgow and Edinburgh. Online check-in is a simple 4 step process which we hope passengers find beneficial."
Customers are encouraged to try out this new service and more information is available on ba.com
