Scot Returns To Head Up Loganair

Loganair has enticed Ayrshire born Peter Tierney to return from Canada in the role of Chief Executive of the Glasgow based airline.
An engineer by training, Peter commenced his working life at Caledonian Airmotive, prior to joining the John Wood Group where he held a number of managerial positions. In 2003 he moved to Vancouver, Canada to head up Vector Aerospace. There, as CEO, he had responsibility for a 600 people, $200 million aerospace business involved primarily in the maintenance and repair and operation of helicopters.
Peter joins Loganair at an exciting time in its history, having just celebrated the 10th anniversary of an MBO led by Chairman Scott Grier. In the last month, Loganair who provide scheduled air services under a franchise arrangement with British Airways carried its three millionth passenger.
Chairman Scott Grier commented "I am delighted that Loganair has been able to attract a candidate of the calibre of Peter, who will bring a wealth of experience in running a multinational business. We are at an exciting stage in the development of the airline, and I am confident that Peter has the right skills to take the Company forward".
