Machrihanish Golf Club, created in 1876, has established itself throughout the world as a first class natural links course. Described as "specifically designed by the Almighty for playing golf" the course presents golfers with a challenging and spectacular opening drive across Machrihanish Bay. Little has been changed to disturb the natural scenic beauty and inspiring challenge of this delightful course.

The outward nine holes follow the hills and hollows among the sand dunes bordering the Atlantic. Each hole requires accurate tee shots and carefully chosen irons to reach the expertly maintained putting surfaces. The inward nine holes are no less demanding as they stretch back home against the backdrop of the Kintyre hills. With the variable strength and direction of the wind, the course can provide a completely new challenge each time it is played.

The Day Away package, available Monday to Friday, includes return flights from Glasgow to Campbeltown. Flights depart Glasgow at 0910, and 40 minutes later on arrival at Campbeltown transport will be waiting to take you to the Golf Course. Tee off time will be arranged and on completion of your round, lunch will be served in the Clubhouse. Transport will then take you back to Campbeltown for the 1730 flight to Glasgow.

The minimum number of golfers is 4 with a maximum of 10. However, if your group size is larger, contact Loganair nevertheless for additional golfers may be accommodated. A non-refundable deposit is required 6 weeks prior to departure, with the balance payable no later than 4 weeks prior to departure. If booked within 4 weeks of departure, full payment is required.

• £139 October to March *
• £169 April, May, June, July, August and September

* Luncheon reduced to soup and sandwiches due to limited facilities during the Winter season.
