"Operating as Flybe"

Askernish

The newly restored 1891 Old Tom Morris course at Askernish, South Uist has been the most talked about traditional links course in golf for over two years. Officially opened by Honorary President Kenny Dalglish MBE in August 2008, it has been hailed as the "most natural golf course in the world." The course has been laid out between the dunes using the natural contours to create fairways and greens without the use of any earth moving machinery. No artificial fertilisers or herbicides etc are used in maintaining the course which is an ongoing project in sustainability.

Askernish Course

The compact newly built clubhouse uses energy supplied by its own wind powered turbine.

The course is a test for all standards of players with the prevailing south west wind adding to its difficulty. Some of the holes to the south end of the course are truly "unique" and will bring great enjoyment to any visitors from the beginner to the professional. Askernish is a very informal club where friendliness is the key word. We enjoy having visitors to our island and you will be made very welcome from arrival to departure. Minimum party number is four.

The day away rates are:
